The Port of Hastings is a significant regional port, situated close to Melbourne’s eastern growth corridor on the north-west reaches of Westernport Bay.

The facilities at the Port of Hastings are owned by the state of Victoria and its channels and port waters are managed under contract by port operator Patrick Ports. The port handles commercial cargoes such as crude oil, LPG and automotive diesel.

The port has a number of commercial wharves and piers, including:

  • BlueScope Steel Ltd – Steel Wharves 1 and 2
  • Long Island Point Jetty
  • Crib Point Jetty
  • Stony Point Jetty – also the access point for the harbour ferry service to French Island and Phillip Island, and the berth for Harbour Tugs.

The Port of Hastings Development Authority (POHDA) is responsible for managing the operations at the Port of Hastings, including maintaining the associated port infrastructure (except for the BlueScope owned steel wharves).
