In an update in regard to the Noble Tom Prosser drilling rig, VRCA has granted permission for the rig to remain anchored in Western Port until August.
The rig sought shelter from bad weather on April 19 however ongoing safety concerns and the temporary suspension of operations due to current COVID-19 restrictions have seen the Noble Group request its stay in Western Port be extended until August this year.
VRCA has imposed strict conditions on the rig while in port, including but not limited to the minimising of noise and light, ensuring that nothing is discharged into the water from the rig and that the crew follow all requisite COVID-19 procedures
